For the third time we will welcome you at the Chocolate Festival 2016 in Tábor between 15 and 16 October 2016, taking place at Hotel Palcát in Chocolate and Marzipan Museum, and other venues in the historic centre of the town.
This year’s festival will offer larger spaces and new features in the programme. Besides the traditional fashion show of chocolate hats, dresses and accessories you will see live cooking shows with leading cooks and confectioners – confectioner and lecturer Lucie Průšová, cook David Šašek and food blogger Aneta Hořčičková confirmed to attend. The festival programme will also focus on experts and interesting people to appear in our “guest chair”: Stanislav Krámský, renowned Czech collector of confectionery wraps and author of book on chocolate, Karel Hager, importer of cocoa beans from Dominical Republic, representatives of Jordi’s chocolate that wins prestigious awards on competitions worldwide, and other guests.
Children can look forward to lots of fun – chocolate workshops all day long, Sváťovo dividlo puppet theatre with interactive shows, and magician’s performance. Play area with professional childminders will be also available.
Women and men can enjoy relaxing chocolate massage of the face or hands. Chocolate nails were the greatest hit of the previous year – this year you can have them tooJ.
Confectioners from the Chocolate and Marzipan Museum will present their skills at the hotel foyer, making chocolate bars and pralines right in front of the visitors to be tasted fresh and hot. The foyer will also host competitions of amateur and student confectioners.
The festival programme also includes hands-on courses taking place directly in the kitchen of the Chocolate and Marzipan Museum. We will sample selected wines and recommend the ones that go well with chocolate. Men will enjoy our chocolate beer, and everybody will love chocolate-flavoured drinks and wines.
Festival tickets are already available on www.sladkavstupenka.cz, one-day ticket can be purchased in combination with “all you can eat” tasting ticket. Children up to 140 cm in height go free.
